Glisson has been practicing in St. Charles and St. Louis Counties since 2010. She served as Chief of Surgery at Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, Missouri from 2014-2016, and makes a welcome addition to Advanced Bone & Joint's team of orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Glisson grew up in St. Charles, Missouri, where she graduated from Visitation Academy of St. Louis and went on to receive her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After earning her medical degree at the University of Virginia, she completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. After completing her fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Glisson returned to practice in her native St. Louis area.
Dr. Glisson treats all conditions of the elbow, wrist, and hand, including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, tendonitis, fractures, arthritis, and Dupuytren's disease. In fact, Dr. Glisson is a certified provider of Xiaflex collagenase injections for the non-operative treatment of Dupuytren's contracture. She has given multiple presentations in the community on topics such as thumb arthritis, wrist pain, and Dupuytren's disease.
