DENVER (PRWEB) November 15, 2018
OTA Talent, a premier TV news talent agency, is proud to welcome former CBS News personality, Mark McEwen to the team. McEwen, once an OTA Talent client, joins OTA Talent as a Network News Strategist.
McEwen will play an instrumental role in expanding proprietary marketing advantages the TV news agency offers its clients to maximize their ability to rapidly advance their careers.
In his new position, McEwen will continue to strengthen OTA Talent’s strategic alliances with national news networks. OTA Talent CEO, Jeff Marcu, said this is a game-changer for OTA clients. “With Mark as a key member of our leadership team, we have the ultimate network news insider directly helping our clients advance to and succeed at the network level.” Marcu added, “Mark McEwen is an iconic figure in our industry. I am honored to have my close friend join our talented OTA team.”
In his new role, McEwen will leverage his extensive network news relationships to further advance the powerful nationwide OTA Talent brand. He will help the TV talent agency’s clients advance their careers at the network level. McEwen explained, “I was fortunate to spend almost 16 years on national television. I bring that experience to OTA Talent. I've been to the mountain top of news. I can help you get there. I've worked national, I've worked local. I know what it takes to help make the camera your ally and in turn have you be a friend and welcome guest in viewers' homes. I was taught news by the best. Ed Bradley, Walter Cronkite, Charles Osgood, Andy Rooney, Diane Sawyer, to name a few. I can bring to you what THEY taught me. Integrity, intelligence, quality, and being prepared. And success.”
“Jeff Marcu is special. As an agent, as a CEO and as a friend. The fact that he was in front of the camera first is priceless. He knows. That experience goes a long way to help YOU get where you want to go. Plus, he's a fighter, he'll fight hard for you. The entire OTA Talent team is a hard-working, talented, creative, nice group. That last part is something you don't find often,” McEwen added.
OTA Vice President of Talent, Kimberly Price, explains how McEwen’s tremendous network background will further enhance OTA Talent’s strong national presence. “Mark's unique experience and understanding of what it takes to soar to the network level will provide a one-of-a-kind resource for OTA's highly-marketable clients who are ready to make the move to network. Mark will serve as an insider, mentor and liaison to build a strategy and find the perfect fit across all network platforms,” Price said.
As a CBS News journalist for nearly 16 years, McEwen earned his reputation as a popular household name. During his tenure, McEwen was the longest-running talent on any major network morning show. While at CBS News, McEwen skyrocketed to fame as one of America’s most well-known and respected personalities on network television.
He excelled in many high-profile positions, including anchoring "CBS This Morning" and serving as entertainment reporter for "The Early Show." He was also a correspondent on the CBS News show, “48 Hours.” From "The Morning Program" to "CBS This Morning" to “The Early Show,” McEwen was a mainstay on CBS since first joining the network in 1987. McEwen’s vibrant personality and his keen ability to connect with his audience earned him countless interviews with the world’s biggest newsmakers, including five Presidents of the United States: Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon.
TV Guide named McEwen one of the country’s “Ten Most Trusted News Personalities.”
McEwen has covered almost every imaginable television event - including the Oscars, the Grammys, the Golden Globe Awards, the Cannes Film Festival and the Country Music Association Awards. While at CBS, he anchored from three Winter Olympic Games including: Albertville, France, Lillehammer, Norway and Nagano, Japan. In Nagano, he ran with the Olympic Torch during CBS Sports' coverage of the Games.
