PHELPS, N.Y., March 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ontario & Trumansburg Telephone Companies (OTTC) is providing free internet service to families with students who do not have a reliable internet connection at home.
Starting today, households with K-12 and/or college students can sign up for two months of free* Internet service with free expedited installation. There are no contracts required for this service.
"As a member of our community we recognize the importance of access to the internet for students and families during a period of uncertainty. Being able to help students continue education during a crisis is the least that we can do," says Paul H. Griswold, President & CEO of OTTC. "Our number one priority right now is to help the communities we serve."
OTTC has been in contact with districts across the service area to help make sure students without access to broadband internet will receive the services that they need.
To sign up for this free internet service, families can call 866-353-7209.
*Free internet for students is available at standard speeds and in OTTC service areas. After 2-months standard rates apply. New customers only.
