OurHealth Partners With Hamilton County and Opens Its Newest Cincinnati MyClinic in Popular Downtown Location
Primary care clinics provide convenient, affordable healthcare via patients' employer-sponsored health plans
CINCINNATI, April 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- OurHealth, the nation's leading provider of near-site primary care clinics, today celebrated the grand opening of its third Cincinnati MyClinic network location at Fourth and Main streets.
OurHealth announced its planned expansion to the Cincinnati market in July 2018 and has since opened clinics at the Springdale Town Center and The Shoppes at Kings Mills. This month's grand opening of its downtown location at Fourth and Main is the company's third MyClinic in the greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. A fourth location is expected to open later this year in Green Township.
The opening of OurHealth's MyClinic @ Fourth & Main coincides with its latest partnership with Hamilton County, Ohio. The company will offer comprehensive primary care and wellness services to the county's 3,750 employees and their spouses and dependents. Other Cincinnati employers utilizing OurHealth's services include First Financial Bank, Rumpke, ADVICS and Carestar.
"Providing convenient and affordable primary care when and where our employees need it will go a long way toward improving their overall wellness and quality of life," said Jeff Aluotto, Hamilton County Administrator. "That, combined with the financial savings of having a healthier and more productive workforce creates a win-win-win scenario for the County, its employees and our taxpayers."
OurHealth's system of industry-leading near-site clinics, called the MyClinic network, significantly lowers the barrier to entry by allowing employers to gain immediate access to a network of primary care clinics that are conveniently located within a 10-minute drive of the employee's home or office. The Cincinnati expansion adds to OurHealth's growing MyClinic networks in Charlotte and Indianapolis.
"We've already seen tremendous engagement from our Cincinnati patients and employer partners in the first three months of operations, and we're excited to see continued growth and a track record of success," said co-founder and CEO, Ben Evans. "The momentum is proof that providing cost-effective and convenient care makes a real difference in the health and well-being of our customers' workforce while also creating significant cost savings."
Employers are attracted to OurHealth's model for three key reasons — improved access to care for their employees and their dependents, independence from any hospital system or network allowing for unbiased referrals and robust reporting capabilities that allow business owners to easily understand their return on investment.
OurHealth is on a mission to save employers $1 billion in healthcare costs, and to date has saved its clients more than $160 million. The company takes a patient-focused approach to care, including waiting room times of less than five minutes, appointments that average 20 to 40 minutes and a patient satisfaction score of 98 percent.
In 2018, OurHealth patients lost a combined 40,000 pounds and 32,000 points of LDL ("bad") cholesterol. OurHealth clients enjoy an average savings of 17 percent on health plan costs through better management of chronic conditions, ER avoidance and reduced lab and drug costs. OurHealth clients include a wide range of employers of all sizes and industries, including the City of Indianapolis, the City of Charlotte, Anthem, CNO Financial Group, and the Indianapolis Airport Authority.
