Outdoors Comic Character DALE Encourages His Fans To Support the Gatlinburg, TN Relief Efforts
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) December 09, 2016 -- Given the devastating impact of the recent fires in the Gatlinburg area, outdoors-related comic character Rather-Be-Hunting Guy™ (aka DALE) encourages his fans to support that special area in this time of great need.
"DALE has always loved the Gatlinburg area, which is one of the reasons he had a lighthearted presidential campaign that involved a sweepstakes prize giveaway with a prize in that location," said a spokesperson for DALE. "The prize arrangement, which included free tattoo removal or a weekend getaway with couples counseling, was developed earlier this year before the recent fires. Given the circumstances, DALE has decided to match the value of the prize in the giveaway - in addition to the prize that a fan will receive in due course. By donating an equivalent amount to the relief efforts for the Gatlinburg area, DALE is hoping all his fans will do something compassionate and helpful for the Gatlinburg community."

About Dale Dunnerway, Rather-Be-Hunting Guy™ (http://www.RatherBeHuntingGuy.com)
DALE is an outdoorsman comic character. He works long hours at a boring job but would rather be in the woods. His friends and girlfriends say he likes to hunt and fish too much, but to him there is no such thing. He’s certainly not a superhero, but with the slogan "Workin' for the Man, Huntin' When I Can," he’s a brother to all of us who’d rather be in the woods. He is also usually out of cash, and predictably smells bad after a day in the woods or the duck blind. When he is not in the woods, or dealing with a mad girlfriend, or a credit card company, or an irritated boss, DALE cares about helping others. For instance he has worked with charities such as the Sportsman Foundation for Military Families and the Hunt of a Lifetime organization. DALE has also been a sponsor for National Hunting and Fishing Day. Learn more about DALE's day-to-day work life in his outdoors-themed comic books, 1) On the Job with Rather-Be-Hunting Guy™ - An Avid Outdoorsman Stuck in an Office Cubicle, and 2) Rather-Be-Hunting Guy™ and Life's Demands - Going Through Adulthood Rough Around the Edges.
