The Carolina Boat Builders Tournament, hosted by the Dare County Boat Builders Foundation, is a release-only billfish tournament held at Pirate’s Cove Marina in Manteo, North Carolina - one of the top billfish destinations on the East Coast. The event will open with an evening reception and a silent auction on Thursday the 23rd, kicking off a weekend of competitive sport fishing. The fishing tournament begins on Friday, July 24th.

The foundation provides college scholarships to students from Dare County whose family members are in the boat building, fishing, or related industries. Over the years, this tournament has raised over $450,000 and helped dozens of families as they pursue higher education.
