BOSTON, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Outside General Counsel LLP, a national law firm built with an in-house mindset, welcomed seven new partners during the third quarter of 2026, strengthening its bench of experienced attorneys who have spent their careers helping leadership teams navigate complex legal, operational, and strategic decisions from inside the organization.
The new partners - Semira Asfaha, Tammy Butler, Wade Gibson, Robb Giddings, Virginia Johnson, Amanda O'Keefe, and Julie Pereyra - have held the top legal role at public companies, global nonprofits, specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers, and venture-backed startups. Several also ran functions outside the legal department, including revenue, internal audit, real estate, human resources, and product development.
The cohort expands Outside GC's capabilities in AI governance, data privacy, and cybersecurity, with three incoming partners holding professional privacy or AI governance credentials. It also adds depth in cross-border operations, life sciences regulation, public company governance, and media rights.

Meet Outside GC's New Partners
Semira Asfaha, based in Washington, D.C., advises on cross-border operations, governance and compliance, commercial transactions, and global employment matters. Previously, she served as Acting General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel at CARE, following roles at Intelsat, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Hogan Lovells.
Tammy Butler, based in Jacksonville, brings more than 25 years of executive experience across law, risk management, compliance, and operations, including as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of CSX Transportation, where she also led internal audit and compliance and headed the company's real estate function. She is also a licensed CPA.
Wade Gibson, based in Dallas, brings more than 15 years of experience as a corporate lawyer, C-suite leader, and naval officer, including as general counsel and chief operating officer at a venture-backed defense technology company. Previously, he served as Chief Revenue Officer of Brinks Home Security, following roles in private practice, management consulting, and public service.
Robb Giddings, based in Middle Tennessee, advises life sciences and healthcare companies in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics on regulatory, compliance, and commercial matters. Previously, he served as Deputy General Counsel, Acting General Counsel, and Interim Compliance Officer of QOL Medical, following legal roles at AbbVie and PRA International.
Virginia Johnson, based in the Boston metro area, brings nearly 25 years of legal, compliance, governance, and regulatory leadership experience, including as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer of Aspen Aerogels (NYSE: ASPN), General Counsel of Schneider Electric North America, and as a senior legal leader at Global Atlantic Financial Group.
Amanda O'Keefe brings more than 20 years of experience handling data privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and technology transactions. Most recently, she was Director, Global Data Protection & Cybersecurity at Thomson Reuters Practical Law, following senior in-house roles at New York Life Insurance Company, Citigroup, and InComm Payments.
Julie Pereyra, based in Seattle, brings more than 20 years of experience advising media and growth-stage companies on commercial contracting, rights and clearances, and AI vendor agreements, including service as General Counsel of Run Studios and General Counsel and Human Resources Director at Digital Kitchen.
