KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 28, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- New to Packline Materials Handling and Ultrasource LLC, the roll handling equipment and extra-long vertical spindle attachment with transfer rollers was designed to lift rolls in the horizontal position and transport them to the processing machinery in a clean room hygienic environment. Constructed from stainless steel, this roll handling solution is suitable for clean room high care environments such as the food and drinks industries.
The rolls are loaded onto the processing or packaging machinery via a side feed in a restricted space, preventing easy maneuvering of the lifting machine itself to reach the load point on the processing machinery. The extra-long single spindle attachment has been extended to 33 inches / 850mm (from 17.7 inches / 450mm) to gain access to the mandrel side feed on the packaging machine.
The rolls are lifted by their core from the pallet or racking in the horizontal position. The rolls are then transported horizontally to the processing machinery.
The single spindle attachment is equipped with transfer rollers to assist the operator to transfer the rolls of labels from the lifting attachment to the mandrel on the packaging machine. This reduces the requirement for operator manual handling.
The rolls have a split core where a gap in the middle of the roll's core prevents them from sliding smoothly for transfer from the single spindle attachment to the machinery load point. To ensure a smooth and easy transfer from the attachment, the single spindle is equipped with additional transfer rollers 2 inches / 50mm apart.
The attachment has a capacity of up to 44lbs / 20kg, however higher rated models are available on request.
The machine and its attachment are entirely suitable for the pharmaceutical and food industries and other hygienic applications.

All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fitted or removed from any model of Compac lifting machine that is fitted with the attachment quick release system.
