PAINWeek 2016 to Present Advanced Practice Provider Track, Thursday September 8
Montclair, NJ (PRWEB) June 20, 2016 -- PAINWeek®—the largest US pain conference for frontline practitioners—is celebrating its 10th annual meeting. Every year PAINWeek strives to keep the conference vital and energized to provide the best in pain management education. This year will see the addition of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) track. Faculty member Jeremy A. Adler, MS, PA-C, comments, “PAINWeek is demonstrating clear educational leadership in integrating many of the professionals who collaborate in the care of patients with pain.” Adler is the chief operating officer of Pacific Pain Management Consultants in Encinitas, California.
Tracey Mallik-Searle, MS, RN-BC, ANP-BC, a nurse practitioner at Stanford Health Care in the Division of Pain Medicine in California, and PAINWeek faculty member, commented, “Nurse practitioners and physician assistants are at the forefront of managing patients with acute and persistent pain. Joining Ms. Mallick-Searle and Mr. Adler will be Brett Snodgrass, FNP-C, CPE, FACPP, Director of Clinical Operations at LifeLinc Pain Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
The track, presented on Thursday, September 8, will include these sessions: the Role of the Advanced Practice Provider in the Acute Care Setting; Naloxone Prescriptions for Overdose: Outside of Misuse and Abuse; Complex Cases in Pain Management; Overview: Abuse Deterrent Formulations; and the Importance of Appropriate Chart Documentation: Pitfalls to Help Avoid Litigation.
As at prior PAINWeek conferences, the 2016 curriculum will feature a wealth of course concentrations, including behavioral pain management, health coaching, interventional pain management, master classes, medical/legal, neurology, palliative care, pharmacotherapy, , as well as special interest sessions.
The PAINWeek curriculum now encompasses over 120 CE/CME course hours, enabling attendees to earn up to 35.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Additionally, over 100 exhibitors will be participating at the Exhibit Hall, commencing with the traditional Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening.
