Over the last several years, Palmer Johnson Power Systems has expanded its service focus from component repair to entire equipment repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment. Every service location has prepared for this expansion by modifying the facility or moving into a new one, and training technicians to handle full equipment work along with hiring several new specialists.
This venture has been one of the fastest-growing segments of the PJPS Service Department. In 2019, Palmer Johnson completed its first new facility wholly dedicated to equipment repair and refurbishment across from corporate headquarters in Sun Prairie, WI. Along with that grand opening, PJPS launched the PJ RECON brand!
This launch proved to be successful and the new facility is already full of work and implementing ways to expand capacity. In 2020, PJ RECON is working on its next expansion to other parts of the country. Our locations in Kansas City, KS, and Arlington, TX have upgraded facilities in order to bring the same high-quality service they have provided for years to the new RECON venture and have already begun work on some projects with new customers. We are excited to bring more resources to grow this expanding part of our business.
To best serve these customers and grow in the new locations, PJPS is also excited to announce the promotion of Susan Schuster to the National Equipment Services Manager. Susan has been with PJPS for 13 years working with high potential customers in many areas and selling our Service capabilities. In the last 10 years, Susan’s focus has been on building the Equipment Services arm of our business and more recently on RECON where she has added several programs to our new facility in Sun Prairie. We are excited for her to expand RECON to other PJ locations and continue to grow service nationally as she provides that same high level of service to customers at all of our locations. Susan will manage our Service and RECON sales force and be the main point of contact for any large customers for RECON nationally.
