The future is precision health -- and we believe what we’re building in the skin microbiome space is vital to this vision. We’re honored to be included in this year’s list of World Changing Ideas.

Parallel Health has been honored by Fast Company as a World Changing Idea in the Health category for its advancements in skin science. By using cutting-edge technology in genomic sequencing, along with machine learning, Parallel has created a Skin Microbiome Discovery Kit for people to uncover their skin health through the skin microbiome, which correlates with states of inflammation, discoloration, dryness, and aging. From there, Parallel has developed Targeted Formulations, specifically skin serums, to balance and improve skin health and aging based on diagnostic results. The company is currently accepting people on its waitlist; Parallel products are set to launch later this year.

Fast Company honors companies that aim to change the world with health technology, innovative corporate initiatives, brave new designs for cities and buildings, and other creative works that support the growth of positive social innovation, tackling social inequality, climate change, and public health crises.

A panel of eminent Fast Company editors and reporters selected companies from a pool of more than 3,000 entries across transportation, education, food, politics, technology, health, social justice, and more. This cohort of companies showcase some of the world’s most inventive entrepreneurs and companies tackling global challenges.
