My inspiration was remembering how my mother worked so lovingly and closely with each of us to achieve our best. And that she left us such an inspiring legacy.

Author Charlotte Griggs shares her mother’s poems with a new generation in GOD, MAMA and US ($14.49, paperback, 9781662812835; $6.99, e-book, 9781662812842).

Although her mother passed away in 1975, Griggs believes her writings are still remarkably relevant today. Griggs and her siblings have compiled their mother’s poetry and added their own commentary, reminding readers of the gifts we continue to receive from loved ones, even after they’re gone.

“My inspiration was remembering how my mother worked so lovingly and closely with each of us to achieve our best. And that she left us such an inspiring legacy,” said Griggs.
