Parkland Memory Care, Coming to Chandler Arizona
Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) January 15, 2016 -- Parkland Memory Care received city council approval on January 14, 2016 for rezoning the 4.5 acre site at 3500 S. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85248. Plans are to develop a 36,377 square foot, single story, premier memory care facility along with two medical office buildings.
Lenity Architecture, a leader in senior housing planning based in Oregon, designed the building, along with landscape architecture provided by Phillip R. Ryan (Ryan & Associates) who has completed award winning projects in Chandler. Every detail of the building and site has been designed for the unique demands and needs of those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Amenities will include 24 hour nursing care, attractively landscaped grounds, three secured interior courtyards, activity rooms, an in-house salon, and walking paths. The architecture is Tuscan ranch, with elements of stone, large beam trellis features, concrete tiled roof, and decorative lighting. The grounds will be extensively landscaped, including two small citrus groves that will be used for activities and gatherings and a dramatic date palm lined entry on both Appleby and Arizona Avenue.
The community will have 72 beds with a majority being private units. The unit mix will consist of companion apartments, private suites, and deluxe private suites. Parkland Memory Care’s prominent location at the northwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Appleby Road, across from Hamilton high school, along with 24/7 nursing, specialized design, and amenities will make it the premier Alzheimer's and dementia care community in the valley.
The property is being developed by Raymond Poe, and Neal Salmen, of Medical Development Partners based in Scottsdale AZ. JF Construction Company is scheduled to start construction summer 2016. Upon completion in 2017, Parkland Memory Care will be operated by Seasons Management Group, based out of Oregon. Seasons Management Group is a leader in senior care, operating facilities across the western United States.
