PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Philadelphia labor, employment, and workers' compensation law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson is proud to announce that partner Amy L. Rosenberger has been named Alumna of the Year by Eastern Mennonite University.
The award is given annually to an alumnus or alumna who has been recognized for significant achievement in their profession, community, or church. Rosenberger graduated from the university with a bachelor's degree in English.
"We congratulate Amy on this wonderful honor," said Managing Partner Deborah R. Willig. "She has fought tirelessly for decades to improve the lives of working people and their families. She inspires us with her empathy and advocacy, and we are thrilled to see her recognized for her accomplishments."
A labor and employment attorney at Willig, Williams & Davidson since 1995, Rosenberger has dedicated her career to representing working families. She serves as a trusted advisor to unions representing workers in government service, education, transportation, health care, and more. She represents and counsels unions in arbitration and litigation, organizing drives and collective action, and collective bargaining negotiations.
"I am humbled to be recognized by EMU for doing the work that I love," said Rosenberger. "It is a privilege working alongside my colleagues and clients to ensure that employees are valued and treated with the respect they deserve. I am honored to be recognized by my alma mater, where I had formative experiences that taught me the value of meaningful service."
As a workers' and labor law advocate, Rosenberger has dedicated time volunteering with myriad organizations. She has served as president and board member for the Philadelphia Chapter of Labor and Employment Relations Association, as chair and long-time council member for the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section, and has been a Member of the AFL-CIO Union Lawyers Alliance (formerly Lawyers Coordinating Committee) since 1995, including service on its board of directors.
She is a noted authority on collective bargaining rights of public and private sector employees. Rosenberger conducts seminars and training sessions for unions throughout Pennsylvania, addressing subjects such as grievance and interest arbitrations, collective bargaining, fair representation, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and unfair labor practices. In 2021, she was elected as a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, a professional association which honors leading lawyers nationwide for achievement, advancement, and excellence.
The Alumna of the Year award will be presented to Rosenberger on Oct. 8, 2022, at Eastern Mennonite University's Opening Homecoming Celebration Breakfast.
