Parts Authority completes investment in Entricit to bring connected car data to auto repair

Parts Authority, a major distributor of aftermarket automotive parts, has completed an investment in Entricit, a data platform that links connected vehicles in real-time to auto repair shops.

Uniquely focusing on repair and maintenance, Entricit enables the end-to-end flow of vehicle health data and prognostics between a customer’s car and the repair shop of their choice.

With integrations to leading telematics service providers on one end, and Shop Management Systems at the auto repair shop on the other end, Entricit completes the last-mile for connected car data flow - an industry first solution.

“As a parts distributor, having access to live vehicle data for so many makes and models allows us to service our customers even better. We know what makes and models are breaking down, when, and why. Entricit will give our workshop customers a powerful tool for attracting, retaining and better servicing their own customers," said Randy Buller, President of Parts Authority.

Entricit’s CEO, Cletus Nunes, commented, “Our partnership with Parts Authority represents a significant and long-awaited change in automotive care. Vehicle connectivity enhances how we manage the customer experience through all aspects of maintenance and repair, increasing consumer trust and peace of mind. We are excited to partner with Parts Authority, a true innovator in the industry.”
