PathPartner's Driver Monitoring System (DMS) is available as a software SDK on the Cadence Tensilica Vision P6 DSP and will be showcased at Embedded World 2020 from February 25-27 in Nuremberg, Germany
FRANKFURT, Germany, Feb. 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PathPartner Technology, a product R&D and engineering specialist, announced today that it will showcase its next-generation driver and in-cabin monitoring solution on the Cadence® Tensilica® Vision P6 DSP at Embedded World 2020 from February 25-27 in Nuremberg, Germany. PathPartner's driver and in-cabin monitoring solution will be showcased in the Cadence Booth 126 in Hall 4.
The solution, offered as a software SDK on the Tensilica Vision P6 DSP, provides both driver monitoring (identification, drowsiness, inattention) and in-cabin monitoring using a single camera sensor. The Tensilica Vision P6 DSP enables customers developing next-generation automotive and fleet safety solutions to execute the complex vision and AI algorithms that are needed for reliable driver monitoring on the edge and without the need for an external CPU.
"Driven by the critical need and regulatory tailwind, organizations across the globe are embracing advanced safety solutions, and driver monitoring is quickly becoming a key priority for them. PathPartner's DMS, powered by the Tensilica Vision P6 DSP's compute horsepower and energy efficiency, offers a very reliable and high-performance solution," said Ramkishor Korada, EVP, Business Development & Marketing at PathPartner. "The Tensilica Vision DSP's extensive library of imaging/vision functions, excellent software tools including a neural network compiler and robust development environments enabled PathPartner to develop the DMS on the Vision P6 DSP in record time. This enables our customers to easily deploy compelling safety solutions in their next automotive and telematics solutions."
"Tensilica Vision DSPs are designed to deliver high performance and power efficiency compared to CPUs and are being used extensively to drive breakthrough vision and AI experiences on the edge for numerous markets and verticals," said Pulin Desai, Group Director for the Tensilica Vision DSP Product Line at Cadence. "The combination of the FUSA-ready Tensilica Vision P6 DSP and PathPartner's DMS SDK enables automotive and telematics companies to develop cutting-edge AI-based safety solutions while drastically reducing their time to market."
