Field goal kicking display on Ford Field will showcase IoT and asset tracking technology at the event co-hosted by Siemens and Electro-Matic Products

Patti Engineering, Inc., a leading control system integration company based in Auburn Hills, MI with offices in Texas and Indiana, today announced its participation in Manufacturing in America 2019, hosted by Siemens and Electro-Matic Products. The event will take place March 20-21, 2019 at Ford Field in Detroit.

Patti Engineering will exhibit on Ford Field itself, where attendees can attempt to kick a field goal. The display will track and rank data about the participants’ kicks, including velocity, trajectory, and predicted field goal range. It will showcase IoT and asset tracking technology, including MindSphere, the open cloud-based IoT operating system from Siemens; RFID (radio frequency identification); and RTLS (real-time locating system).

The Manufacturing in America (MiA) conference brings together over 3,200 manufacturing executives, engineers and enthusiasts to network, learn about the newest technologies, and share best practices. MiA is held annually in Detroit, which has the second largest concentration of engineers in the country.

The event kicks off with The Summit on Wednesday, March 20th, 2019, where Raj Batra, President of Digital Factory Division, will open the event in his welcoming speech. The Summit will continue with thought-provoking presentations and discussions with leading experts in manufacturing, the economy, technology, and innovation. This years’ keynote speaker is world-renowned enterprise strategist, CEO and innovator, Nicholas J. Webb.

In addition to The Summit, the MiA offers over 100 technical learning seminars, and 50 exhibits focused on emerging automation, controls, drive technologies and PLM within this evolving industry.
