DANVERS, Mass., Oct. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Paul H Gershkowitz comes to New Fed Mortgage as a seasoned professional who has worked in the mortgage industry for thirty-six years and was formally the Senior VP of Retail Lending at Berkshire Bank. Prior to Berkshire Bank, he was the President and co-owner of Greenpark Mortgage Corporation, in Needham, MA. Prior to Greenpark Mortgage, he also was the founder and co-owner of Assurance Mortgage Corporation. Both of these mortgage companies were sold to publicly traded companies.
He graduated in 1982 from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Finance and Marketing. He is the father of four children (Brett; Brianna; Alexa; and Jake) and resides in Newton, MA with his wife Laurie.
Paul is devoted to volunteer work to support his community and people with disabilities. He is involved on the boards of non- profit organizations including Congregation Mishkan Tefila, Gateways access to Jewish education and Jewish Family and Children Services. He is currently co-chairing the JF&CS CHAI event scheduled in November 2019. He has chaired charitable events for CanDo, Citizens for Affordable Housing, Gateways, Congregation Mishkan Tefila, the Newton Historical Society and Combined Jewish Philanthropies. He is the former President of Mishkan Tefila. He supports worthy organizations by participating on many committees. 2019 marked the seventeenth year that he participated in The Pan Mass Challenge. He has raised over $250,000 to help fight cancer.
His passion is to inspire young adults to make a difference in their lives through involvement in social causes, community activity and charitable work.
Paul's hobbies include spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys hiking, skiing and biking. He is also an avid gardener and griller.
