LOS ANGELES, July 29, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PBS SoCal (KOCE), Southern California's home for PBS, has been awarded two Los Angeles Area Emmy® Awards by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The winners were announced at the 70th Los Angeles Area Emmy® Awards presentation on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Saban Media Center in North Hollywood.
PBS SoCal also received the Governors Award for its extraordinary work on "American Graduate: Let's Make it Happen," a five-year social impact initiative that uses local programming, community outreach and partnerships to help address the high school drop-out rate in Southern California.
