Peco Inspx Announces Upgraded Vision System for Food and Beverage Applications
FREMONT, CALIFORNIA (PRWEB) August 20, 2015 -- Peco InspX is pleased to announce performance updates to its LabelScan and CapScan vision systems. These vision systems are unique in the industry for their exceptionally easy setup via their “learn” training feature that allows product setup in minutes compared to complex setup programming typically required in traditional vision systems. Because the LabelScan and CapScan systems develop a detailed understanding of what identifies a “good” product, deviations/defects from the learned “good image” are easily identified.
These recent product updates improve the vision system’s accuracy, particularly under variable speed and extremely high speed conditions. The system software also has enhancements for detecting the presence/absence of specific product features. One application where these updates offer a meaningful performance improvement is on dent detection of metal lids and cans. Dents can be readily detected and in non-critical containers they can be “learned” so that they are not rejected.
Peco InspX leverages sophisticated image processing software from Sightech Machine Vision Systems of Modesto, CA.
