HOMESTEAD, Fla., Oct. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Wealth management and personal finance expert Patricia B. Mull has published an essential guidebook to understanding and navigating the murky waters of marital finances for any woman about to say, "I do," as well as for those who have already proclaimed, "I do not".
"Bridal Financial Boot Camp," a companion to Mull's first book "The Essentials for Accumulating and Preserving Wealth," focuses on how to help women who are ready to take the next step with their partner recognize and manage many of the risks embedded in marriage so that, during marriage or even when faced with divorce, they can maintain control of their financial future. Unless a bride is prepared, Mull says, a divorce can potentially end up being the single most financially devastating event of their life.
"By now you are thinking to yourself that you thought marriage was going to be a wonderful partnership where everyone played fair," Mull wrote in the introduction to her book. "Yes! It is fine to treat marriage as a partnership and it should be treated as a partnership BUT when it comes to your retirement you cannot let your guard down. You must keep your eyes on where YOU want to end up with or without a spouse."
Ultimately, Mull's book provides critical knowledge to readers to ensure they can protect their net worth before, during and even after a good or bad marriage. "Bridal Financial Boot Camp" educates women on the financial risks that come with marriage, helps them to identify key characteristics in a partner that indicate financial stability and compatibility and teaches them how to accumulate and preserve their wealth to ensure they are ready for retirement down the road.
"Wish I'd had this before I was married the first time," a reader wrote in a five-star review of the book on Amazon. "Divorced 9 years later with a 5-year-old, I was financially ruined. Took me years to get back on my feet. Definitely will get this as a gift for the next bridal shower I'm invited to. Easy to read too."
