FREDERICK, Md., September 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Due to unforeseen circumstances, Phenomenology, Inc., an innovative production model in the performing arts, announces that it must postpone its inaugural theatre experience, MANHATTANonPATRICK, which is currently scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2019, at the Weinberg Center for the Arts. The star of the production, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, has been offered the lead role in a new television series, which begins shooting in early September and has created a conflict for this event.
"We are thrilled for Jamie and truly appreciate the hard work by her, and her team, to maintain Jamie's commitment to the September 27 performance date," said Jeffery Keilholtz, CEO & Artistic Director of Phenomenology. "We are continuing to work with Broadway and Hollywood talent, and we will be announcing a new date for MANHATTANonPATRICK soon."
Ticket holders will receive a full refund from the Weinberg Center for the Arts.
Established in 2018, the mission of Phenomenology is to raise the quality of life for artists and technicians in Frederick County and beyond. MANHATTANonPATRICK, the flagship theatre program for the organization, is intended to support that mission by providing high-potential regional performers and technicians with a unique platform to showcase their gifts. This platform combines nationally recognized name talent and area artists in the same performance.
"The postponement of MANHATTANonPATRICK emphasizes why the purpose of Phenomenology is so critical," continued Keilholtz. "Jamie-Lynn Sigler, a Broadway actress and star of "The Sopranos", one of the most successful television show of all time, still has to hustle and take work when opportunities present themselves; so, imagine how challenging it is to live and thrive for performers and technicians who work and reside outside of a major media market." Keilholtz concluded, "Phenomenology endeavors to pay regional talent a rare and dignified wage, to deliver high-value performance opportunities, and hopes to help, in some small but meaningful way, to add to the already magnificent cultural value of Frederick, Maryland. We could not be more excited about all that stands ahead."
