Phil Ivey Wins Aussie Millions 250K Challenge

The AU$4 million first place prize is one of the richest in poker. Ivey earned the largest live tournament score of his professional career in winning.
The $250,000 Challenge offered unlimited re-entries which helped to generate a total of 46 entries, more than double the previous record. The number of entries resulted in a prize pool of over AU$11 million.
Ivey is the first two-time winner of this event, which has only run four times since its 2011 introduction. His initial victory came in 2012. This latest win pushes Ivey over $20 million in total lifetime tournament earnings. It also moves him into second place on poker’s all-time money list.
