Photographer Andy Marcus was elected the new president of the International Photographic Council. He succeeds founder James Chung.
NEW YORK, Oct. 18, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Photographer Andy Marcus was elected the new president of the International Photographic Council (IPC). He succeeds founder and chairman James L. Chung.
IPIC founder James L Chung passed away in June 2022. For many years Chung worked with Marcus on developing new projects with the Professional Photographers Associations. It was a natural choice for Marcus to move forward as IPC's new president.
As past Vice President of the IPC and president of Fred Marcus Studios, Mr. Marcus has more than 50 years of experience in the business of photographing weddings, establishing a clientele comprised of the most prominent families and business leaders in the country.
Marcus is a Sigma Pro, one of ProFotos World`s Top Photographers, Lexar Elite Photographer, and a former Canon Explorer of Light. He speaks nationally and internationally on a variety of subjects related to the wedding and portrait photography space.
Marcus has received Master of Photography and Craftsmen Photographer degrees from the Professional Photographers of America. He is an accomplished author, writing "Wedding Photojournalism – Techniques and Images in Black and White" and was profiled by Lifetime Television on "Disney Fairytale Weddings".
