The board-certified physician, who deployed to Baghdad and worked as a hospitalist on the COVID front line, introduces a three-phase framework that treats burnout as a system problem, not a personal weakness. The launch comes as she returns with a new season of The Dr. Remina Panjwani Show and appears on The Ultimate Human with Gary Brecka.
DALLAS and FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Remina Panjwani, D.O., a board-certified physician, functional medicine specialist, U.S. Air Force veteran, TEDx speaker and best-selling author of Odd Girl Out, Doctor Within, today launched Dr. Remina's DEPLOYMENT METHOD™. It is a three-phase framework for assessing and treating burnout in individuals and organizations.
The launch comes as American workers report rising strain. In the American Psychological Association's 2026 Work in America survey, 80% of workers described their workplace as healthy, down from 85% a year earlier. Workers also reported feeling more tense or stressed during the workday than in 2025. Nearly half (48%) worry that AI could make some or all of their job duties obsolete, the highest share since APA began asking in 2023.
"Burnout isn't a weakness. It's a system problem," said Dr. Remina. "Most burnout solutions jump straight to treatment before anyone has assessed what's actually happening in the body or in the organization."
The Method borrows its structure from her military service:
- Recon (Assess): a thorough, trauma-informed assessment of physiology, labs, sleep, stress load and history. No treatment begins until the terrain is known.
- Deploy (Treat): a sequenced plan that regulates the nervous system first, then restores and optimizes.
- Return (Review and Integrate): ongoing review so progress holds and no one is left in the field.
For employers, the same three phases become Assess, Intervene and Sustain, delivered through keynotes, intensives and executive advisory for people leaders.
Dr. Remina enlisted in the Air Force at 18 and deployed to Baghdad in 2004. The military paid for her education, and she became the first in her family to attend university, going on to medical school. Her first job out of residency, as a hospitalist, began at the onset of COVID.
"In the military, you had a weapon and you knew what you were fighting. In COVID, you didn't know what you were up against," she said. "That's why Return is the promise I make to every patient."
