Pico Union Project’s 5th Annual ‘Faithsgiving’ Celebration!
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) November 13, 2018 -- “We’re so excited about Thanksgiving, and going to start the neighborhood appreciation and festivities two days earlier,” said Lauree Martin, Manager of the PUP.
The Pico Union project has always taken the phrase “love thy neighbor” and put it into action. For the 5th straight year, they will be opening their doors and hearts for an afternoon that includes a free farmers market, art activities, yoga, and live music from Klezmer giants Mostly Kosher, Moroccan Groove band Gnawest, Hip Hop artist PLVNK and Jasper Bones courtesy of Sid the Cat productions.
This year's FaithsGiving was made possible with the support of local government leaders, Assemblyman Miguel Santiago, Councilmember Gilbert Cedillo, Supervisor Hilda L. Solis and the office of Mayor Eric Garcetti. Additional support from Seeds of Hope, De Aztlan Group, Bright Rentals, All Saints Beverly Hills, Good Samaritan Hospital and over 100 volunteers.
"Over 500 turkeys and an equal amount of love will be distributed thanks to the efforts of of our partners", said Craig Taubman, founder of the Pico Union Project. "We love our Pico Union community and feel blessed to share this special Thanksgiving tradition with them".
