Author's cancer journey inspired her to leave legacy for others
ST. PAUL, Minn., July 24, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "A Magical Day: Finding Hope in Your Heart," the posthumous release from author Suzanne G. Bennett, is a colorfully illustrated picture book about a wise little bird who shares with readers a simple yet profound message of hope.
Written both for adults seeking inspiration and for children still learning to process their emotions, Bennett's tale centers around a kind and loving bird who stumbles across an opportune moment to share his gift of hope with a young girl facing sadness and despair.
"Where do you begin to look for hope?" asked Bennett. "Most of us start the search outside ourselves. But, as the wise little bird in this story tells us, the search for authentic hope begins and ends within."
In 2000, Bennett transitioned from a long, accomplished career in healthcare to spirituality-focused work, helping to inspire hope and wisdom using the written and spoken word, through one-to-one guidance and teaching, and by creating and sharing one-of-a-kind celebratory artistic keepsakes. The idea for "A Magical Day" came to her on an icy dark Minnesota night in January 2010, but it wasn't until 2019 that the book began to take what would become its final form. Bennett passed away in 2022, just a few months before the book was published, after a courageous nine-year battle with three different forms of cancer.
"Hope is a precious commodity," said Bennett. "Beautiful and desired by many, it often seems elusive and in short supply. As our feathered friend says in the book, it's there, right there, within your kind and sparkling heart. It's as simple as that!"
