We are so pleased to be named a Cool Place to Work in Michigan, as it underscores our investment in our employees and our commitment to providing a collaborative work environment that allows them to use their creativity and expertise to develop truly innovative solutions.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (PRWEB) August 31, 2018
Pillar Technology, an industry-leading software consultancy known for solving complex problems through exceptional digital solutions, has been named to the 2018 list of Cool Places to Work in Michigan. Created by the Crain Content Studio, the statewide survey and awards program recognizes and honors Michigan companies that benefit the state's economy, its workforce, and other businesses in the region. As one of the four collaborative work environments developed by Pillar, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, the Ann Arbor, Michigan office employs 86 people.
Companies from across the state were nominated for inclusion on the list. Each was evaluated on workplace policies, practices, and demographics (25%), and employees completed surveys that rated their employee experience (75%). The combined scores determined the top 100 companies in each of the three categories (small, medium, large) based on company size.
“We are so pleased to be named a Cool Place to Work in Michigan, as it underscores our investment in our employees and our commitment to providing a collaborative work environment that allows them to use their creativity and expertise to develop truly innovative solutions,” said Bob Myers, Pillar Technology’s CEO. “We feel that we hire the best and the brightest in the software industry, and it is indeed gratifying to know that they value the work experience we offer at Pillar – and that they consider it a ‘cool’ place to work.”
Crain’s found Pillar “cool” based in part on the following:
- Leadership impact classes that help employees grow and develop leadership skills.
- Annual learning budget for employees to use for conferences, workshops, certifications, training or subscriptions.
- Adoption and infertility treatment assistance up to $5,000 each.
Earlier this month, Accenture acquired Pillar Technology, a move intended to expand its Industry X.0 practice. Industry X.0 helps industrial, high-tech, automotive, energy and utility companies address the shift to smart, connected digital products and services, transform their engineering, manufacturing and field operations, and digitize their enterprises. Its the only end to end solution in the marketplace.
