Arrival of recognized industry expert enriches capabilities of Firm's Public Sector practice

With nearly four decades of experience serving clients across the public sector, Clelland is a renowned expert frequently consulted by school districts, municipalities, authorities, colleges and universities, state agencies, and not-for-profit organizations. His hiring reflects an ongoing effort by the Firm to strategically bolster one of its fastest growing practice areas.

Before joining the Firm, Clelland amassed considerable public sector experience while working for one of the "Big Four" accounting firms and one of the largest regional firms serving the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area. Over the years, numerous governmental and not-for-profit entities have involved him in special projects, including forensic audits, performance audits and internal control evaluations. He has also been frequently called upon to assist state agencies, regulators and other organizations with presentations, training, and the adoption of new standards and regulations. Clelland joins the Firm's Cranford, New Jersey, office.

Clelland is an accomplished accountant honored by organizations across New Jersey. The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) has recognized him as one of the top 50 CPAs over 50, and he has been named to the organization's ALIST for governmental auditors. In addition to NJCPA, Clelland remains affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials (NJASBO) and the Registered Municipal Accountant's Association of New Jersey (RMAA). He is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, a Registered Municipal Accountant in New Jersey, and a Licensed Public School Accountant in New Jersey. Clelland graduated from Muhlenberg College with a bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration.
