Planes, Trains and Santa 2021 - Santa is Back! 10th Anniversary Event
The Military Aviation Museum is excited for the return of the annual Planes, Trains and Santa event on Thanksgiving Weekend. The event was cancelled in 2020, disrupting its 10th anniversary. Santa flies in each day at 10AM in a vintage aircraft, weather permitting, because the reindeer have to rest up for the big night. Get your picture taken with Santa, see loads of vintage airplanes, explore the museum and marvel at the hangar overrun with trains.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Nov. 16, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Military Aviation Museum is excited for the return of the annual Planes, Trains and Santa event on Thanksgiving Weekend. The event was cancelled in 2020, disrupting its 10th anniversary. Santa flies in each day at 10AM in a vintage aircraft, weather permitting, because the reindeer have to rest up for the big night. Get your picture taken with Santa, see loads of vintage airplanes, explore the museum and marvel at the hangar overrun with trains.
The Tidewater Division of the National Model Railroad Association hosts a variety of train experiences, allowing kids (and adults!) of all ages to see and interact with amazing model train exhibits. Santa and the Marine Corps Reserves will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate and help make the holidays merry for everyone.
In a recent Zoom call with Santa, he said, "I'm very excited to see all the children and families again at the museum. The elves and I have been building a new sleigh that's even more magical and I can't wait to fill it up with holiday joy for all the children I meet at Planes, Trains and Santa!"
All children 17 and under get in free all weekend. Regular museum admission prices apply for guests 18 and older and Museum Members get in free. All guests with active museum memberships or pre-purchased tickets get priority access to sit with Santa.
