King is a long-term resident reporter in Asia with conversational Cantonese fluency and significant knowledge of Chinese culture and Asian judicial practice.

A self-taught stenographer accredited by the Supreme Court of Victoria, Jade King undertook a five-year apprenticeship in all levels of the Australian legal system, from Federal Court to Royal Commissions. She then spent five years in stenocaptioning roles at Red Bee Media/Ericsson and the BBC. Moving to Asia six years ago in pursuit of an international career, Jade has covered high-end arbitrations and court hearings, as well as depositions and corporate, media and political event captioning, working on some of the highest profile cases of the past decade.
