SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 13, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Recording Artist, an online subscription-based web platform offering insight and guidance to musicians recording online, is now sharing an inside look at their process on Amazon Prime Video. This new concept aims to serve as an entertaining reality TV show that follows an eccentric music producer, located in Arizona, who has set out to find talented, unsigned bands to record. New episodes air every Wednesday and offer viewers an inside look at the musical process with musicians from start to finish.
Platinum award-winning music producer and engineer Otto D'Agnolo was inspired by the evolving music recording industry and how users can view their favorite bands from the comfort of their home. D'Agnolo took this inspiration and built this online platform known widely as The Recording Artist back in March. Now, The Recording Artist is moving to the television screen to share D'Agnolo's unique industry stories and let viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at bands navigating through the recording process.
"Virtual music consumption is at an all time high as we continue on through the COVID-19 pandemic, with the public looking to watch musical performances in the comfort of their own home," said D'Agnolo. "We started this platform as a way to reach up and coming musicians and help them develop their craft. With a sudden spike in virtual music streaming popularity and increasing demand for musicians to produce digital content, it was a no brainer to bring our process to a wider audience on Amazon Prime."
Season one is underway and Amazon Prime subscribers can expect there to be six to eight episodes this season. Each episode includes footage from a few of the weekly webcast recording sessions, along with behind the scenes interviews and rehearsals woven into story form to introduce the audience to new bands as well as the cast and crew. Since it first premiered, the show has received only five star ratings and reviews.
The Recording Artist has featured The Paper Foxes, Bayou Bandits, Vinyl Station, Emby Alexander, and Vanilla Aardvark, the Arizona band featuring The Voice finalist Josh West, among other up-and-coming bands and artists. This show will simultaneously work as a way to get deserving bands in the spotlight, but also as a way to drive viewers and performers to The Recording Artist's website so they may suggest bands who could benefit from the platform.
