NEW YORK, Jan. 12, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Global Amazon agency and marketplace consultancy Podean has appointed Danielle Waller in a newly created position as Global Head of Media. Danielle was previously at Merkle, now part of Dentsu, where she built the Amazon practice over the past seven years to where it became a highly regarded offering amongst the advertising holding companies.
The appointment of Danielle is on the back of the strong growth that Podean is experiencing both in the US and internationally and the growing demand for advanced marketplace media solutions by the agency's global client base. Podean is now operating with Amazon specialists on the ground across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and Australia, with plans to launch three more regions in 2021. The agency counts as its clients progressive consumer brands including e.l.f. Cosmetics, WaterWipes, MARS, De'Longhi and Unilever among the 80 brands it manages Amazon services for.
Mark Power, Founder of Podean, comments, "We are delighted to have Danielle to join us as part of our global leadership team. Her experience and track-record in building robust marketplace and Amazon media solutions for savvy ecommerce brands will be welcomed by our clients who are all shifting their focus and investment into ecommerce. You can't win in ecommerce or Amazon without advanced media strategies and we are excited to be empowering Danielle to deliver exactly that."
2020 was a busy year that saw Podean increase its team by 600% while also opening 3 new new regional offices. The agency also launched new products including GoGlobal; a sales acceleration program for brands seeking global incremental sales across the Amazon ecosystem, as well as Prophet; a profitability algorithm that solves profitability challenges for brands selling on the Amazon marketplace.
Danielle comments, "I am impressed with what Podean has built and it's hard to believe that the agency is only two years old. They have created a truly unique offering blending the sophistication of large media agencies with the agility and retail expertise of smaller ecommerce businesses. I'm looking forward to not only applying my existing knowledge and experience but also developing new solutions and strategies for clients seeking an edge in this dynamic ecommerce environment".
Podean also recently launched LiveCraft, an agency that develops strategies around all aspects of live content creation and its distribution across social and other media platforms, with the aim of enhancing brand reputation among fans and communities and driving incremental sales for brands. LiveCraft offers the full range of services needed to succeed in live marketing including talent discovery and management, brand partnerships and sponsorships, livestream production and activation, live commerce integration and supporting media and promotions.

About Podean:
Podean is the first global Amazon agency and marketplace consultancy focused on helping brands drive sustainable long-term growth. Podean (poh-dee-uhn) hails from the word "antipodean", referring to things diametrically opposed. Specifically, it is a term used in reference to Australia and New Zealand by inhabitants of the northern hemisphere. The notion of being opposite is what our Podean is focused on – we want to operate and act the opposite of narrow, slow moving and slow acting agencies. Podean counts among its clients brands within the auto, beauty, appliance and technology categories, in addition to consulting engagements with media/advertising agency groups and high-profile global management consultancies. Podean's founder, Mark Power is the co-author of "Amazon for CMOs" – a best-selling business title where he interviewed many of the top CMOs about their opinions and ambitions as they relate to Amazon. Podean's Global CEO Travis Johnson was previously the founder and President of Dentsu's Amazon-focused consultancy, Sellwin. Prior to joining Dentsu he was Global CEO of Ansible Mobile, and also held CEO positions for media agencies UM, Initiative and Cadreon. He was an Adweek Media Allstar in the US for 2017. http://www.podean.com
