Poetic Photo-Sharing App Focuses on Combined Experiences Between Friends
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) December 17, 2014 -- USPLUS, an app by independent developer, David Brede, offers a way for friends, family, and couples to connect on a deeper level – and not just through a game; through a game that is relatable to anyone.
“I had a strong desire to create something simple that would strengthen relationships; something that could be done in seconds, but still make an impact in the form of beautiful works of art co-created by two people that can be shared with the world, or even kept secret,” said David Brede, creator of UsPlus.
USPLUS connects two people and challenges them to create meaningful images and pair them with a word or phrase. The game focuses on the one-on-one interaction of two people, what they do and create together, and over time they collect a gallery of artworks that express their relationship. USPLUS begins when an individual invites a friend or loved one to play a game. Once initiated, one player types a word that answers the question “Together, we are _____”, and the challenge begins. Both players then add images that they believe artistically matches the word or phrase, and what they have are two images side-by-side, with the word boldly stated over the center of the artwork.
“Two, a couple or a pair, is the fundamental structure of society. We function in larger groups but we are very beautiful in pairs,” said Brede. “We can experience more depth, intimacy, and share more understanding and sympathy as a pair of two individuals.”
These creations, or “pairs”, can be shared across Facebook, Twitter, or sent directly through email for everyone to view like a virtual art gallery, with the muse being the relationship between two people.
USPLUS is available now for free in the iTunes store. For more information, visit http://www.usplusapp.com.
About:
As an individual with a strong artistic background, David Brede and his wife would play a game in which they would take turns finishing each other’s drawings or paintings they started. He quickly noticed that together they created something that neither of them could have dreamed of accomplishing alone. More importantly, the connection they gained from the experience proved to be most meaningful. It was a memory forever preserved by the artwork they created. USPLUS was inspired by this concept and the impact that a single word or phrase can make. These two attributes are combined to form Brede’s core inspiration behind USPLUS - entertainment in its most natural and simple form.
