About the Author
Tacoma R. Anderson was born and raised in Fries. She is an army veteran and ordained pastor. She began writing in her early teenage years as a means of releasing pain and expressing thoughts that others did not want to hear. Her inspirations for poetry are things that provoke the deep thought process, things that are a part of everyday life that others often overlook. It was then that she realized that her writing was a gift from God. Her major influences in life are God, her God-fearing dad, her art teacher, and poets Maya Angelou and Langston Hughes. She has performed spoken word and recited her works in poetry showcases, women’s history programs, church events and other venues.
