JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Aug. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, Point-of-Care Partners announced Government Health Policy and Information Technology (IT) Innovator, Tricia Lee (Wilkins) Rolle, PharmD, PhD, has joined the company as a Government Affairs and Health IT Strategist. In this role, Dr. Rolle will work with public and private sectors and industry standards organizations to advance use of health IT for comprehensive medication management.
For the last decade, Dr. Rolle has served as a liaison with top officials of both public and private sectors to support use of health IT for comprehensive medication management and increase community engagement in safe use and adoption of health IT.

She has a proven background in advising industry executives, professional associations, IT vendors and state governments. A pharmacist dedicated to improving the health care system through the safe use of health information technology, Dr. Rolle has been instrumental in improving U.S. health care medication management through leadership at federal and state levels. Her expertise encompasses pharmacy practice, health IT leadership, quality improvement experience and research expertise.

Before her work with Point-of-Care Partners, Dr. Rolle served as Director of Pharmacy Affairs for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) where she developed strategies and initiatives to demonstrate the value of managed care pharmacy services and models of care and was liaison to the Pharmacy Health IT Collaborative. Prior to AMCP, Dr. Rolle was Pharmacy Advisor for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). In this multi-faceted role, she identified health policy gaps, barriers and opportunities in the areas of medication management and health IT, made recommendations and directed projects that resulted in regulations certifying the use of health IT to perform key functions that improve medication safety and efficiency in the ePrescribing process.
