HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Aug. 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, Point-of-Care Partners (POCP) announced the expansion of its team to more fully integrate emerging areas of health IT innovation within its consultancy including building interoperability roadmaps, meeting requirements of CMS and ONC rules, payer/provider data collaboration, the shift to value-based care and patient engagement. New recent team members will enable POCP to further advance healthcare transformation in the following areas:
1. Standards Development/Technical Support: Frank McKinney, Phung Matthews and Kim Ball will support Point-of-Care Partners' efforts to advance adoption of industry standards and provide technical expertise to POCP clients embarking on new initiatives requiring the application of emerging standards and use cases. Examples include new patient-facing FHIR applications, efforts to automate manual tasks such as prior authorization using HL7 FHIR and developing use cases to support oncology treatment and research.
2. Interoperability: Seven new team members will support the advancement of healthcare interoperability across stakeholders with emphasis on:
- Health Information Exchange: Ed Daniels and Sharon Adams will support POCP clients actively working to improve interoperability, care management and coordination. Examples include the exchange of clinical and financial data among hospitals, physician practices, clinical laboratories and insurance plans as well as the sharing of healthcare data such as advance care planning documents.
- Payer Interoperability: New team members who will focus on increasing interoperability between payers and the healthcare ecosystem include Gary Austin, Vanessa Candelora, Keith Crossley, Michael Kreitzer and Deb Markson. This newly formed team will work hand-in-glove with payer organizations to help with their transitions to value-based care including the formation of new clinical initiatives focused on improving population health and healthcare quality. They will also work with organizations to execute transformative strategies that provide new capabilities and improve performance and quality and support compliance with the CMS and ONC Interoperability Final Rules.
POCP also significantly expanded its account management team to enhance client engagement and project efficiency. New team members include Stefanie Dobes, Jordyn King, Olga Mogilenko and Emma Laux, who will also support the Marketing team.
