This acquisition will combine Point Health's team of experienced product, technology, and UX design experts with The Karis Groups' decades of pricing data, healthcare navigation, and bill negotiation experience. Together, the companies will develop a new, digital-first healthcare navigation platform that will make healthcare easy to find, easy to understand, and easier to afford for members of health plans.
Point Health's healthcare navigation platform will empower members to be engaged healthcare consumers, by combining one-stop shopping for healthcare needs with a medical marketplace offering price transparency. The typical health insurance company loses an average of one-third of their members each year, making member experience and engagement critical to increase retention. Point Health's initial platform is targeted towards health insurers with high-deductible plans, health sharing communities, third-party administrators, and employers.
