Point Breeze Credit Union Donates $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster
Hunt Valley, Md (PRWEB) May 11, 2017 -- Point Breeze Credit Union recently donated $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster, Inc.
The donation will be used towards the Boys & Girls Club’s BUILD Campaign, which provides support for the organization to move into a larger facility and serve a greater number of children in Westminster.
The Boys & Girls Club currently provides afterschool programs and services to 110 children and offers summer programs to over 100 children. Following the BUILD Campaign, the Boys & Girls Club will be able to help an additional 75 families during the first year and over time plans to expand the number of members served to 600.
The new 21,000 square foot facility will also include a gymnasium, teen center, technology suites, art studio and even a radio station.
“The generous support from Point Breeze Credit Union enables us to be one step closer to our goal of providing healthy and supervised afterschool programs and activities for a greater number of children in the community,” said Bonnae Meshulam, Executive Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster. “We are very fortunate to have strong partners like Point Breeze who are dedicated to enriching the lives of local children and families.”
The donation was made as Point Breeze recently expanded into Carroll County with a new office in Westminster, Md.
“As a community focused credit union, we understand the importance of giving back to our neighbors,” said Brenda Fisher, manager of Point Breeze Credit Union’s Westminster location. “The Boys & Girls Club provides outstanding services to help shape and impact the lives of children in Westminster, and we are grateful for this opportunity to support children and families in our new community.”
