Point Breeze Credit Union to Award $10,000 for Carroll County Community Care Challenge
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) March 06, 2017 -- In celebration of Point Breeze Credit Union’s new office in Westminster, Md., Point Breeze announces its Community Care Challenge to benefit Carroll County. Point Breeze will award $10,000 in funding to one Community Care Challenge grand prize winner.
To participate in the Community Care Challenge, individuals, groups, businesses, and non-profit organizations are all eligible to submit project ideas for enhancing the community. Ideas can be submitted through a simple online application form starting March 15, 2017 through April 17, 2017 at https://www.pbcu.com/communitycarechallenge.
To be eligible, project ideas must benefit the Carroll County community and its residents. Applicants must also be able to explain how they would implement their idea with $10,000 and how they would measure its success.
Local judges will evaluate submissions based on their potential community impact, creativity and feasibility. Judges will then select four finalists to participate in a live pitch event. In addition to the grand prize winner, one runner-up and one second runner-up will receive $1,935, in honor of the year the credit union was founded, towards their idea.
“Supporting and giving back to the communities we serve is at the very foundation of who we are,” says Bernie McLaughlin, president and CEO of Point Breeze Credit Union. “We are excited to try something new with this Community Care Challenge, to engage with the people of Carroll County and tap into a vast pool of creative ideas for enhancing the community for residents.”
