Primarily designed for multifamily communities with smart apartments but also applicable to gated single-family communities and HOAs, PointCentral’s solution allows residents, guests, staff and vendors to use a single credential, in the form of a pin-code or a mobile app, across multiple entry points, simplifying the living experience and offering a new level of convenience and security for residents of smart properties.

PointCentral’s Curb-to-Couch solution started by focusing on traditional access control systems. Utilizing Alarm.com’s smarter access control product line, their Curb-to-Couch solution offers a retrofit-friendly access control solution that extends the safety, convenience and operational benefits of going keyless and fob-less throughout a community. By tying traditional access control into PointCentral’s smart property platform, the Curb-to-Couch access solution can also provide a convenient way for apartment managers to grant building access to prospective tenants for unattended self-showings. When a prospect expresses interest in a property and has been authorized to view it, they can be automatically sent a unique access code that will gain them access to the smart building as well as the unit they want to see. When they exit, the management company is automatically notified for follow up.

In addition to enabling unattended showings, PointCentral’s Curb-to-Couch solution provides a simple way to give access to vendors and maintenance staff, enabling use cases such as package delivery direct to package rooms or to residents’ units without any involvement from on-site staff. Unique access codes can be limited to specific locks and only available for a short period of time. Real-time audits provide a complete history of who entered, where they entered, and for how long.
