PolicyPak Extends Management Capabilities for Microsoft App-V
(PRWEB) February 24, 2014 -- When PolicyPak Software released a new build for the popular PolicyPak Application Manager in January 2014 it extended new support for Microsoft App-V 5.0 as well as, App-V 4.6 and 5.0 “side by side”.
For example, if an admin needs to change a setting in App-V using PolicyPak Application Manager, they don’t have to re-open and re-sequence that package. PolicyPak has baked the ability to deliver application settings using Group Policy into App-V sequences. Additionally as administrator’s transition from App-V 4.6 to 5.0, PolicyPak can work immediately “Side by side” when both App-V 4.6 and App-V 5.0 are installed on the same system. A video overview of how PolicyPak manages App-V sequences (with side-by-side support) can be found on the PolicyPak website.
IT Admins and network administrators who want to try out the PolicyPak software can
get a free trial by attending a Group Policy Webinar at the PolicyPak Website, or by calling (800) 883-8002.
PolicyPak founder and Group Policy MVP Jeremy Moskowitz recently said, “If you’re using Microsoft App-V to deploy packages to users, you know the benefits of virtualized applications. But you still have a big problem: Once the application is deployed, how do you mange, change or configure that application? Microsoft App-V has NO Group Policy support inside of sequences. PolicyPak has a solution.”
PolicyPak Application Manager can deliver settings using Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy, Microsoft SCCM, Dell KACE, or any other management tool.
