Polyonics Introduces ANSI/ESD S20.20 Compliant ESD Labels and Masking Tapes
Westmoreland, NH (PRWEB) February 04, 2016 -- Polyonics ESD-Safe™ label materials and masking tapes comply with the latest ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirements. They also fully comply with the ANSI/ESD S541 packaging guidelines for process required insulators (labels, tapes, etc.) used in ESD protected areas (EPA). The materials help protect ESD sensitive (ESDS) devices and have proven to be valuable tools in helping reduce the effects of electrostatic discharge in ANSI/ESD S20.20 Control Plans.
The Polyonics ESD-Safe materials have static dissipative top surfaces that incorporate a variety of specially formulated conductive elements that help dissipate charges and protect ESDS devices. The label and tape materials provide surface resistances of greater than 10^4 and less than 10^11 Ohms, the heart of the static dissipative zone. In addition, they also include low charging pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) and liners that produce less than 125 V with liner removal, per S20.20, allowing them to be safely used within 1" of ESDS devices. The materials also provide the same low charging with removal post masking and/or with label rework/repositioning.
