Popular Event Celebrating New Year's Eve & Original Music to Return to Appleton, Wisconsin
As Appleton, Wisconsin, continues to make its mark as a music destination in the Midwest, the popular New Year's Encore Eve will return on December 31. The encore concert event was inspired by the Mile of Music and will feature four favorite national acts who performed at the festival this past summer.
APPLETON, Wis., Dec. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After launching in 2013, Mile of Music, presented by Tundraland, continues to grow its hometown community of Appleton, Wisconsin, as a destination for live, original music with year-round events like New Year's Encore Eve.
This sixth annual concert event will return to Downtown Appleton at the Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley on December 31. It was originally introduced as a way for fans to see favorite artists perform again after they played at the Mile of Music summer festival and has since become a big hit with music fans in the community and beyond.
"Our city has really embraced this music movement," said Dave Willems, whose firm, Willems Marketing & Events, produces Mile of Music. "What started as a four-day festival celebrating original music has evolved into a full calendar of popular year-round events."
This New Year's Eve, the encore concert event is set to welcome back four headlining acts from across the country, including:
-C2 & the Brothers Reed (Lexington)
-Chestnut Grove (Philadelphia)
-The Brothers Footman (Indianapolis)
-Elliott Blaufuss (Nashville)
New Year's Encore Eve will also include special emcee Dan Rodriguez who's played at Miles 2-6 and pop-up performances from Tae and the duo of Kyle Megna and Ross Catterton. Along with nearly five hours of live, original music, attendees will be treated to a countdown to the New Year, balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight. They can also enjoy a complimentary chocolate and coffee station as well as a photo booth and Mile Prize Wheel.
"This is always such a fun event to host and we are looking forward to welcoming guests to the hotel for New Year's Encore Eve," said Linda Garvey, general manager at Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley.
In addition to New Year's Encore Eve, other community events inspired by Mile of Music and organized under the Mile of Music Presents concert production and promotion arm include Rhythms & Brews, Showcases at OuterEdge and Concerts in the Courtyard.
