Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina, the iconic 15-acre Florida Keys getaway offering the retro, throwback feel of a nostalgic American Beach vacation, announces its re-opening on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 unveiling extensive upgrades and repairs following 2017’s Hurricane Irma. Recognized as a ‘Top Resort in the Florida Keys,’ by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler, Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina will debut 151 ‘boathouse chic’ guestrooms, suites and seaside cottages, the celebrated Holiday Isle Tiki Bar and more than 130,000 square feet of beachfront indoor and outdoor event and meeting space. The announcement follows the re-opening of the property’s Marina, the signature restaurant, Ciao Hound Italian Kitchen & Bar and Starbucks.

"We are ecstatic to announce the re-opening of Postcard Inn,” said Eddie Sipple, regional general manager of Islamorada Resort Company. “It’s been a long road to recovery and after an extensive revitalization to the resort and its grounds, Postcard Inn is postcard perfect, once again. The resort is essentially brand new with cherished offerings from the last 67 years.”

Greeting guests through a new entrance and lobby area, including a separate front desk for children, the reimagined resort offers expanded oceanfront rooms with enviable views. Newly designed guestrooms and cottages feature driftwood tile floors, rustic, handcrafted furnishings, coastal-inspired artwork, crisp, white bedding and whitewashed headboards, with pops of navy, turquoise and sky blue. Five top-floor suites have been added showcasing floor-to-ceiling views of the bay and Atlantic Ocean from the tallest building in Islamorada. The resort’s new swim-up pool bar, Kokomos pays homage to the property’s past while offering an expanded deck over the ocean for sunbathing. Completely refurbished, the Marina at Postcard Inn Beach Resort provides over 55 slips, including 26 transient slips with accommodations suited for vessels up to 90 feet. Water, electric and complimentary Wi-Fi service are available to guests as well as a new fueling station, offering 90 octane gasoline and H.S. diesel.

Further enhancing the guest experience, the resort has added tarpon feeding from the Marina, ‘dingy dive-in movies,’ an expanded walk-in beach area, bocce ball courts, ‘fish like a local fishing classes,’ a state-of-the-art sound system throughout the property and a new professional-grade Tiki Stage to welcome live performers.

“It will be an honor to welcome back our friends, both new and old, to Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina,” said Sipple. “Guests will not only be very impressed by the physical changes made to their prized Postcard Inn but also by the enhanced guest experience.”
