Practice Transitions Group (PTG) served as the sell-side advisor for Houston-based Dr. Shel Wellness & Aesthetics Center in its sale to Bios Wellness Clinics.
AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Practice Transitions Group (PTG) served as the sell-side advisor for Houston-based Dr. Shel Wellness & Aesthetics Center in its sale to Bios Wellness Clinics. The clinic is Bios' first location in Texas and its third U.S. acquisition in three months.
Founded by Shelena C. Lalji, MD, FACOG, known to patients as Dr. Shel, the clinic has served Houston for more than 20 years. Dr. Shel is a board-certified OB/GYN and a national speaker. The practice offers bioidentical hormone replacement, peptide therapy, exosomes, IV nutrition, injectables, laser treatments, sexual health, and body sculpting. It also serves as a national training facility for new wellness and aesthetic technologies.
Bios operates wellness and medical aesthetics clinics in British Columbia, Alberta, Colorado, and Texas.
Lauren Wheeler, Director of Aesthetics, MedSpa & Dental at PTG, led the engagement for Dr. Shel.
"Choosing to work with Lauren Wheeler and Practice Transitions Group was the best decision I made for this transaction," said Dr. Shel. "Lauren was always my best advocate. She was well informed, detail-oriented, and professional at every step. I would recommend Lauren and her group to anyone planning to transition out of their practice, which is often one of the most important decisions of your professional life."
"As an internationally recognized speaker and author, Dr. Shel is a true innovator in the longevity medicine and bio-optimization space," said Wheeler. "Our focus was finding a partner who would support Dr. Shel's mission to bring her precision medicine approach to a nationwide audience."
The sale adds to PTG's work in medical aesthetics, where the firm represents MedSpa and aesthetics practice owners in sales to strategic buyers and private equity-backed groups.
