2-Step Cleats, created by Korean startup DNJA, made its Kickstarter debut on September 6, 2022 and has caught the attention of cyclists all over the world by surpassing its funding goal in less than 2 weeks.

After 2 years of development, Kim revealed 2-Step Cleats to the world through Kickstarter. It offers two different clipping positions – Front Position and Rear Position. Front Position keeps your feet secured the same way that regular cleats do while the Rear Position pushes the cleats back by 13mm and is coined "Power-saving Mode" as it reduces strain on the calves while pedaling. As a result, uphill climbing and long distance rides become a lot more manageable for cyclists. In just 2 weeks of it passing its Kickstarter funding goal, it has become a popular discussion topic within cycling forums.
