Pre-Panelization and Virtual Design at New Energy Works Design Week Portland Event

PORTLAND, Ore., April 04, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- New Energy Works Timberframers is hosting a Design Week Portland Event, "Pre-panelization and virtual design; the creative and practical implications of offsite fabrication" with industry experts, Geoff Sosebee, Steve Burrows, and Jonathan Orpin. Representing the manufacturer perspective: Jonathan Orpin/Founder and President, New Energy Works. The builder perspective: Steve Burrows/Founding Partner, BAUMATIX. The architect/designer perspective: Geoff Sosebee/Architect, LEED AP, LEVER Architecture. Each will share knowledge, experiences, and what the future may hold for the building industry through a lively discussion.

The event will take place on April 11, 2019 from 2pm to 5pm at the company's Portland Design Studio on SE 6th Ave. Event timing: 2-2:30 PM - Meet/Greet, explore the Design Studio; 2:30-4 PM - Panel discussion with Geoff, Steve, and Jonathan; 4-5 PM – enjoy networking and one-on-one conversation with hosts and guests.

Pre-panelization is gaining momentum and project designs are being further developed virtually with building modeling software. "Some say this is where potential problems can be identified and solved immediately, prior to fabrication and prior to being on-site. Others may disagree," continued Orpin.
