Innovating New Treatments for LSCD-Related Conditions
In 2018 Precise Bio was the first company to transplant a 3D-printed cornea graft in animals. In 2019, the company initiated preclinical studies to evaluate a bio-fabricated ocular surface transplant (OST) for the treatment of limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD), a devastating condition that results in corneal blindness.

Precise Bio's OST is an allogeneic engineered tissue comprising limbal stem cells and other biomaterials designed for a simple procedure that can be performed in a physician's office. The OST program leverages the proven technologies that Precise Bio developed for its cornea transplant program.

Precise Bio's proprietary, laser-based 3D bio-printing technology, together with a complete 4D bio-fabrication platform, enables scale-up of traditional tissue engineering methods, making tissues and organs available for clinical use.
