SHELBYVILLE, Ill., July 6, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Chad Hammond marks his publishing debut with the release of "The Guardian Assassin: Predators Turned Prey" (published by iUniverse), a psycho-thriller that uniquely blends real-world issues and supernatural elements into one storyline.
The novel introduces Chase Bradshaw, an extremely talented athlete, running back for his high school football team. He encounters a mysterious, glowing orb while swimming with a group of friends at the local lake which leads to experiences of extreme light sensitivity and inexplicable dreams involving the supernatural. He finds himself possessed by a ruthless mythological assassin who tries to rid the environment of sexual deviants of the most heinous kind. But are these dreams of vigilante justice real?
This first volume of "The Guardian Assassin" trilogy sheds light on some of society's deep, secretive behaviors that often go unnoticed and unpunished by the present legal system. The overall theme of the book centers around seeking justice for the weaker, more vulnerable members of society who have been victimized by violent predators.
When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, Hammond states, "I want my readers to relate to my characters and to experience their feelings as they travel through the story. I also want my readers to have a 'page turner' experience as they try to guess what could possibly happen next! More subtly, I would like my readers to become more aware of some of society's problems that they may personally have never encountered."

About the Author
Chad Hammond grew up in a typical, small-town American family with two loving parents and an older sister. Both of them were very active in sports at a young age — he in football and his sister in gymnastics. Hammond was blessed with above average intelligence so school was not difficult for him, and after graduating from high school, he planned to attend college to study sports medicine and play football. A series of unfortunate events caused Hammond to leave college during his freshman year and life's trials became overwhelming. Several years of struggling to regain his earlier life led Hammond to begin expressing himself in writing. "The Guardian Assassin: Predators Turned Prey" is his debut novel.
